Long ago I was introduced to "Mad Max" by my Grandfather. Being about 11-12ish I was disturbed, but TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY by the movie! I bought the crappy Road Warrior figures that came out in the early 2000s and they just didn't cut the mustard, because they didn't move what so ever. So now after "MAD MAX: Fury Road" reignited my love for Max, I give you THE ROAD WARRIOR! This is my Mel Gibson version (working on Hardy) his head is Captain America marvel legend from Avengers 2. I shaved his head and re-sculpted all the hair, painted and washed it. His upper body, waste & arms, are from marvel legends Starlord. His thighs are also Starlord, but I boiled and exchanged from his knees down to his feet of marvel legends Electro. His right forearm is boiled and exchanged from the recent marvel legends Hawkeye. I sculpted the rolled up sleeve also. I cut up and used an old giftcard for his leg brace and then used belt pieces from extra neca Aliens Hick's shotgun holsters I had. The straps on the back of his legs are hand sculpted also. His shoulder pad was from the old Road Warrior figure, Warrior Woman. The knife is from a random neca figure, the knife holster was from an old army figure. I completely repainted him with tester flat black, then used tomayai brown for anything brown. Any silver was from a paint pen and citadel silvers. The I black washed him and detailed and repainted all his weapons. The double barrel shotgun was from an older resident evil figure that I cut down to make it a sawed off (which was fun to do) :P Then I got some q-tips and dipped them in paint thinner then paint and it made a nice light or heavy dirty look for him. Very fun figure to make. I'm now working on "Fury Road" Max next! Thanks for looking!
