A fun project, I found this 1983 AT-ST model at a comic store for a few bucks and decided to play with it a bit.

I wanted to customize it, which was good...considering the model had every piece except the left turret. So there was the first start, making a new cannon on the left side, which I took a bit farther and took some wire to connect it to a spare power cell mounted on the back-just to make a heavier looking cannon.

After looking a different schemes, I decided to go with a 'Desert Camo' theme, just to go a little different from the usual grey route. I figure, this is the guy who is used on places like Tatooine or other arid climates.

Base coat was a simple tan color, which then got hit with the various brown in places. I really liked a WWII British camo scheme I found, which was the inspiration for the grey and tan(ner) stripes. Finally, blast marks were added as well as making it look dirtier with some washes of different grimy colors.

The last custom change I did to the model was adding the additional communications antennae onto the head. I figure this guy is either going out longer ranges to far out Moisture Farms to deal out Imperial 'justice', or it's going to get caught in some sand storms-either way, it needed a stronger, longer range radio for patrols.
