Big Barda (Earth 2) (DC Universe) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:75505
Name:Big Barda (Earth 2)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:DC Universe
Creator:Henchmen4Hire
Date Added:August 5, 2015
Base Figure:red she hulk, mercury, barda, iron man
Height:7.00 inches
Critiques:Requested!
Absolutely my favorite work, this project hopped along despite having to sculpt all those obnoxious scales.

The Earth 2 comics this version of Barda appears in are terrible to use as reference, the artists change her suit from panel to panel, even the colors aren't consistent. So, in the end I approximated the details to whatever looked cool.

•Parts from Mercury, Barda, Red She Hulk, Iron Man, Terrax
•Most details are sculpted, cape and collar are removable
•P3 paints, VHT Vinyl Dye

I inverted the shoulder joints Red She Hulk had, the arm peg pops into the torso and vice versa. This lets the shoulder be a swivel to reduce paint rub on the sculpted scales while still letting the arm raise as usual. The Mega-Rod (giggity giggity) is made from pieces of Terrax and Ninja Turtle weapons, a little hole lets the lightning plug in.

(Again, sorry for the bad pictures)

Some seriously impressive sculpting here. I imagine all of those scales really were quite the posterior pain. Very smart idea inverting the shoulder joints too. Fantastic work, Dr

Mate this is INCREDIBLE! The sculpting is on another level, and I love the use of parts (especially the male biceps for a buffer looking Barda), fantastic work!

Thankssss
In the end I switched over to the slimmer Mercury biceps because the Creeper biceps would have been way too bulky after the scales and arm bands

awesome job dude! Barda's one of my favorites. Did you use sculpey or aves for the armor?

It's apoxie, I don't use sculpey on figures anymore because it isn't durable, I only use it on statues and for props.

She looks great! I don't know much about Barda but I thought she was really cool in the animated movie about Supergirl.

Yep, I only know Barda from the Batman Beyond series, but it seems she's consistently the most badass warrior across all dimensions lol.

I don't like her Beyond outfit since it's essentially just a red swimsuit, so I made this version instead.

Just saw the Supergirl movie, Barda is always awesome!

Thankssss
I could probably drill another little hole in the tip of the rod to plug in an energy blast effect. Might make a smaller one since this one is more of a Mega Mace lol
