Bright blue is his jaket and his boots are yellow! I had a problem with the Peter Jackson figure released where they made him as a Hobbit which is cool but lacking. I used his glasses to replace a Spiderman 2 movie Doc Ock figures glasses and therefore he has no glasses and on top of that my figures right arm was broken. SO lightbulb! I think that he would be an excellent base for a Tom Bombadil as there is no such character in PJ's LOTR, but he says that they could have met him, its just not seen. SO WHO ELSE IS BETTER TO PLAY THE ELDEST and seemingly OMNIPOTENT character than the Director/co-writer and most importantly the visionary of the LOTR Trilogy. So I took off his feet and used the pegs on the top of some Sam Gamgee arms to repair the arm and replace the left one to keep symmetry. His boots (yellow) are from a Pelenor Fields Eowyn cut down and Milliut was added to make the upper leg sleeve on the hobbits trousers appear like a boot. The hat was completely made out of Milliput by covering PJ's head with clingfilm then sculpting and adding a rubber ring around the top for the decoration and then placing a green knife from a warhammer character for a feather. the rest was a paintjob and I used the Fellowship of the Ring video game as reference for his hat. I didn't want to make his beard bigger or paint his hair brown as is typical of his deiction as I wanted it to be Peter Jackson as Tom Bombadil. He stands a little taller than the Hobbits about Dwarf height as he appears in many illustrations and the game. I also added a joke knife as why on Middle-Earth would Tom carry a knife? He wouldn't! He is a gentle soul who has wisdom and can fight using poem or verse to banish Wights and tame unruley trees. The knife however has a reference to Sting as when Bilbo is looking at his sword in An Unexpected Journey; Balin says to him 'I'm not actually sure its a sword, more of a letter opener'. Therefore the Scabbard on my custom says in elvish 'Letter Opener' and thats all it is. I like to think Tom found it in the Barrow Downs as the knife (apoligies for it being hard to see) is of man desing- being made of the end of Aragorn's ranger sword with the tip of another sword as a blade. It is kept in a removable harness so Tom doesn't have to wear the scabbard. I had fun making this and think it has come out quite well.
