Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They are such a wonderful part of our collective pop-culture. As a child of the 80's I certainly grew up with them and I can't remember a time when the Turtles didn't have a current cartoon, movie or comic. So I thought it was about time to honour our half-shell heroes with a new project; the Secret Sewer Lair! At first I just wanted a cool, little diorama that would serve as a display piece for three or four Turtles figures. But upon completion I deceided to make more pieces that can be combined [placed next to each other] for a larger Lair.

So this is part 1. It's the entrance to the lair. I used PVC electrical pipes for the sewer pipes, wood for the door and the rest is sculpted with epoxy. Painted with Revell model paints. I've added a little sneak peak to the second sewer part. The third is also almost done. Stay tuned for those!
