I really wanted a nice Emperor figure to fit in with my growing Star Wars collection, and similar to the recent Black Series figures. Now, Hasbro have never made the "definitive" super articulated 3.75 inch Emperor figure in my opinion, so I set about to make my own. Extremely pleased with it, and didn't cost a bomb to make. Very fun to make a character come alive like this. He is made from 4 different Emperor figures, to get the right look. Unfortunately, the headsculpt I used was from the Saga 2002/06 line, which has a flat side behind the ears. So it's not a full head. But I won't be taking off the hood anyway. I repainted the face and hands, to get the old wrinkly man look, and several dry brushes to bring out the sculpt. The fingernails are darkened to look dirty. It was really fun. Sorry about the photos, I'm not that good at taking them. But now I have a really cool version of my favorite Star Wars character! I’m making one at the moment with a similar design and if you wanted a back of the head just so it’s not a hollow hood situation that might come off just take the back off one of the revenge of the sith heads of you have a spare and stick on it so the hood fits better, even if glued down.
