Another custom finished months ago (July 2015). I always wondered what a figure would look like painted in real comic book art, those with metallic or shiny/icy parts. So that got me thinking about Iceman. Then I saw fastfreddie's Silver Surfer done in that style and I was sold. It looked spectacular, and I knew Iceman would work too. All in all, pretty simple to do. I took an X-Men Classics Iceman and swapped his lower arms onto the Hasbro Iron Fist. The head from Iceman wouldn't fit on the wide neck of Iron Fist, so I dremmelled and whittled it down the best I could. But still the head is slightly too small and sits a little high. I can live with it. I sprayed it in white primer and then applied an ice blue to highlight certain parts and simulate the reflections and shines of ice. Then used a Stabilo write all pen for the black contours and definition. I'm not totally pleased with the details on the face, but doesn't bother me too much. Recipe: Head - Iceman from X-Men Classics Body - Iron Fist Lower arms - same Iceman figure Belt - Mr Sinister strap piece Oh sorry about the quality of the photos. I'm terrible at taking them, and will change how I do them, it just isn't working for me. If they're not good enough, I'll take some more. What do you guys think? Ok? Gone too far in some places? Let me know in the comments :) ![]() |
