I made this junkyard with no real direction in mind. I thought maybe GI Joe's, but they are still too big for this setup. My next thought was Walking Dead building sets minfigures would be a nice fit in this diorama. Wouldn't you know it, they are super sparse in my Town of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and with the dollar hurting as badly as it is, eBay isn't an option. Anyway, on to the details. Wooden base, modeling plaster and a couple dozen 1/24 scale models. Built, and destroyed, and then weathered using Tamiya Weathering dry brush paints. Then, my trademark iron filings and rust activator to make the beasts come alive with decay. Barn is balsa wood and hot glue. Stones and pebbles from the end of my driveway and an assortment of broken model car axles, engines, transmissions and such. Throw in a vintage die cast claw foot dollhouse bathtub filled with tires and it's ready to go. If only they made detailed miniature Freddy Kruger figures. This would be ideal to hide some bones in and make into a movie horror scene. I hope you enjoy my work. ![]() |

Again thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. Maybe I will bite the bullet and get some walking dead minis and display them on here. Maybe that will generate more interest.
