Here is a nice Chap Mei vehicle I found in a thrift store. Despite their figures being total crap, even for fodder, I find their vehicles to be really detailed and nice quality. Using 1/24 scale classic model car parts and craft foam for the spikes. I then used Tamiya Dry brush weathering paints, along with liquefied iron filings to paint. I quick spritzes with a copper salt solution in a squirt bottle and the rust begins to grow and spread. Any areas the iron didn't make it into shows up with the crystallized salt, which just ads to the desert salt flats driven look I was aiming for. Zombie heads from walking dead toys. Used a gi Joe anti aircraft cannon, drilled out the barrel, added some random spear I had in my fodder box. I didn't do an exact copy, but I hope you like my version so far. Next I shall arm it and add some poles with skulls and such, just like the movie vehicles. I have included a photo of the "Buzzard" vehicle ,from Fury Road, that inspired my creation. Sadly the Mad Max figures (Gyro Captain pictured) are way too huge for the car. I guess it's time to foray into making figures now. I hope you like my work. Feedback and advice/suggestions are always welcome. Simon ![]() |

Looks cool, we can tell exactly what it's supposed to be, so mission accomplished
I have a Chap Mei Swat truck I'm going to work on next.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I'll have to take some better photos outdoors when the snow melts here.
