Submitting today after almost 2 1/2 years after I finished him to 95% with my more limited skillset from back then (and boy does it show!) - I give you the God of Thunder himself, in his classic look, and on the appropriate body - THOR! I saw Matchu's great custom of him the other day, and decided to just finish the cape and show him off. For years he sat capeless, because I was pedantic about how to do it. I had the rubber cape from Giant Man series Thor, and it became sticky after painting, even with primer. I didn't want a stiff cape, because it could scratch the paint off. And I wanted to do a cloth one, because I can shape it to my liking. But grew too lazy and moved on. Then a few months ago I just decided to slap on the Odin/Thor Allfather one on. Slightly too large over the shoulders, and the silver discs were inaccurate. But then Matchu showed you could just cut them off and it would look fine. So I did just that, heated it up to become more pliable and glued the sucker down. And now he is finally finished! So thanks to Matchu! Recipe: Head, forearms, hammer - Giant Man wave Thor Body - Toxin Lower legs - Sabretooth (for paint rub) Cape - Odin/Thorfather The discs were cut from the Giant Man Thor and glued on. The top 2 were sculpted (poorly might I add, but not bothered). The belt is a Mr Sinister cape strap with sculpt for the logo. Lower legs were sculpted over, and the knee pad things are from the Toybiz series 3 Thor, cut to shape. So there you have it - a simple-ish Thor that's been made more difficult due to procrastination! And there are plenty more of those to come! Thanks for looking haha! ![]() |
