Wait, you make more money with action figures??? I think I'm in the wrong business...as of now, I make like...0 money with my comic. I've got merchandise, but I've only made 5 bucks so far...and advertising, which has yielded close to 10 so far. Though I suppose making money on a Webcomic takes longer than with customizing.
Because people don't HAVE to pay to read my comic. They HAVE to pay to get your action figures. But I'm still confident. I plan on making commercials and working for a movie studio (if all goes according to plan) whilst still working on Mint Condition.
Like I said though, that's my PLAN...haha.

Yeah, thats what I did before I starting making the money I do from figures... I did like wedding videos and stuff, and A lot of commercials, I used to do a loacal TV once to, I was the director, producer and the host..lol
Once I even did a big pizza hut commercial too. Its all great money, I just happen to make more doing custom figures (who knew?..lol) But one day I will have Quinten Tarantinos job, then I can die happy

I've also got an idea that when I get the right equipment I can go around and make commercials for small businesses and make money that way until I can make movies.
I figure this way I can make some good money doing something that I love (well it would be commercials, but a definite stepping stone), and it will keep me from places like working at Wal-Mart. Haha.
That's what that director I used to work for does. He makes darn good money doing it too.

Ah cool. Only 3 years older than me. I have a friend who is trying to get a horror movie made. I've got tons of ideas, some requiring a fairly good budget, and some requiring little to no budget.
Nothing written out story-wise, just ideas jumbling around. Horror movies seem like the most fun to make.

I'm actually going to college for Mass Communication right now. We have to go through an internship our senior year at a place where we want to work when we graduate. Lucky for me there's plenty of film studios in Dallas I can get an internship at.
But yeah that's bascially the same thing. My college doesn't have a film program, but Mass Communication covers film, as well as newspaper and television, etc...
My plan for my first movie is to make a horror movie. Because horror movies are the easiest to make for indy filmmakers. You can make them cheap and still get the right reaction from the audience. I mean, it worked for the greatest filmmakers of all time, right?
Sam Raimi, Peter Jackson, etc...

Well, its actually called "Mutlimedia Production" with emphisis on film and video... but I also had to learn web design and crud... it covered the whole spectrum of the industry. I do make movies, you guys would be surprised what I do when I'm not customizing..lol.. I just finished a trailer for an exploitation film about a week ago. Its called COLT 69..lol..
But right now, film making takes a lot of time and I don't get paid..lol.. its a labor of love for now.... So I make these toys to pay the bills... and one day, I will make film full time hopefully!!! thats my dream

I'm starting to think your monitor is really bright... seriously john... cause in the forums, you said you like your second pic... and to me (on me screen) its REALLY dark...
think so?
Oh and thanks bro
Yeah my monitor is pretty bright. I'm still a newbie when it comes to photography.
your an artist, you'll nail it in no time... If you ever want to know anything, I'm a total photography nerd and took dozens of classes on it and lighting when I got my film degree.

Wow dude the figure looks great. My one critique? Take some photos of Storm Shadow against a darker background...Those photos almost blinded me, haha.
