TMNT fans will know how difficult it is to get your hands on a good Shredder figure. Frustatingly, the original 2012 Shredder figure had fine arm articulation but very little leg articulation, while the second 2012 Shredder was the opposite. With this in mind, I set about trying to find a way to combine them. I cut the 2012#1 Shredder figure's legs away, allowing me to split his torso apart down the seams. From there, I took Shredder#2, separated him from his legs, and found that mercifully it was easy to slot #2's legs inside #1's torso, and from there seal the torso. To cover the slight gap, I added a sash made from a red ribbon. To give him some of that 2003 Shredder look that I like so much, I trimmed his shoulder guards until they were just panels and glued on the shoulder armour from the 2K3 Feudal Shredder toy. I removed his old arm claw weapons, which was tricky, and to cover the gap left behind, I used some black cloth to suggest fabric on his arms. His new arm guards were also from the 2K3 Fedual Shredder, I think two separate ones. I painted his upper arms black and glued on leg guards from Thundercats 2011 Grune, painted dark silver. His new blade weapons are from the 2007 movie Shredder. Finally, I painted his face black and his eyes red to match the 2K3 Shredder. The lighting is not very flattering here but I'm happy with it.
