So, I've been thinking. Y'know what you don't see too often? Deadpool customs! Amiright!? Ok, seriously, I imagine it's been a whole hour since the last one, but hey, I'm weak, I caved. Honestly, it's really is a tough character to resist, and he was a blast to make.
I managed to get a Daredevil vs Bullseye two pack, so I thought I'd combine parts from both to make sure paint rub wouldn't be any sort of issue. So he's basically the generic marvel body with a whole lotta sculpting. I sculpted almost the entire torso, crotch section, upper arms, forearms, upper legs, lower legs, and the belt buckle. The belts and harnesses are mostly from joe fodder with heat shrink wrap scabbard for the metal swords.
For the unmasked heads, I started with a mezco Freddy Kruger, given the similar lovely complections. I sculpted a more Wade Wilson expression, then made casted a second head, sculpted a more neutral expression, then casted a third and sculpted the crazy eyes. The masked head was an original sculpt on top of a vitruvian H.A.C.K.S blank head. Again, I cast it, sculpted the one big eye, cast that and sculpted the second big eye. The half mask head was from one of the marvel universe Deadpools, recast with some extra sculpting to fit the slightly bigger body.
With Mr Wilson, here, being such a popular character and custom, I wanted to try to bring something that hasn't been done before. Yeah, 7 heads may seem a bit over the top, but to be honest, once I got started, I just couldn't resist myself. Deadpool is such an animated character, I wanted to try to cover as much of that entertaining personality as I could.
