Funnily enough I AM THE FIRST T COMMENT, thanks for the shout out! Great custom! Yeah most of the genre's or figures taken from franchises are usually the less apreciated like LOTR Hobbit or Fallout, whereas super hero figures get all the love! Fantastic Job!

I think the main reason people stick to super heroes customs is because they're so much easier to make than having to completely sculpt the figure's details. It's understandable, but still on the disappointing side because we rarely get to see cool stuff like this. It's always impressive when you can't tell what the hell parts a person used to make the fig lol

Yeah I suppose so. When you post a custom you're really proud of and spent ages making and people just go meh -_-
Don't get me wrong I've made loads of super hero customs and have more comming with basic changes but I feel lazy when I post them. I'd say my Dain is a good example of an all out custom as the only thing you can recognise is maybe the area around the eyes of where I used a Gimli and the Axe handles, but the armour is al sculpted plate parts etc. You even said I'd love to see the mess you made making that XD should have taken a photo or two xD

Thank you deaditor, let me clear up what I think your getting at.... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LOVE OF TOYS!!! Whatever franchise you prefer, what happened to the love of all things articulated!!! Action figures were almost a gateway drug, never would have read my first batman comic or watched slapshot if it wasn't for action figures.

No idea why but I will prbably always be a collector and customizer. University Student and wish they had some society to do with this stuff. I love watching behind the scenes for things like WETA workshop and love film in general but really get into the art the models and costume design bits. Every time I log onto figure realm I go through the newest customs and if I see something good I LET THE PERSON KNOW XD. It boosts the persons confidence and it is nice to be apreciated and see how a person has improved etc. But yeah action figures do seem a bit gateway druggish lol, if you start painting warhammer or customising you get into modelling and then one could start a career or hobby in it :P
