The whole paintjob is enviable, but that rusty sword does take the victory-flavored cake. What was the process for getting that effect?

I recently tried to do gradual shading like you did on the blue, and failed for the most part lol

I just used several black and brown washes over the pewter material itself. I dabbed the excess off with a sponge.
Wish I had a dollar for every time my gradual shading failed. Lol I'd be richer than Trump.
