Wanted to make a nice mix of classic Jim Lee/Astonishing Beast with Kelsey Grammar Beast. Never quite felt the love for any mass produced Beast or any customs I'd seen and thought I'd give my own a shot since Hasbro doesn't seem to have an update planned anytime soon. I love sculpting hair so this one was really fun. Managed to maintain every single point of articulation (actually increased from the Astonishing Beast) and its all built around the sculpt for full motion. Thor's legs were more articulated and larger so that immediately gave the Astonishing Beast the height it needed. Then Thor's massive lower arms gave that nice ape-like look added onto the Astonishings little stubby shoulders. Bulked up the upper arms and neck area to add additional mass and balance out the new proportions. The original X-Men boxed set went on clearance so I snagged the legs and feet off the beast from that. Had an endless supply of extra BAF parts so I transplanted the face from Terrax onto a scratch head and just built around it. Got to use a lot of tasty blue colors and even a little metallic for shits and giggles. Enjoy the blue man! Update: Now on eBay
