I finally got my hands on The Maxx from the Mcfarlane toy line. Honestly it is one of the best toys I've ever held in hand- and I'm not a stickler for articulation, it's all aesthetic with this one. Love the sculpt and the original paint isn't THAT bad! I definitely enjoyed the cartoon and comics!

But I felt the need to upgrade his paint with a paint system I'm developing here- loosely based off what I've seen statue painters do, I can't take full credit. I don't think that's the aim exactly of painting, I just liked the look. I think you need to paint how you feel. And I liked getting rid of the factory sheen on this guy! It I wasn't painting him I'd at least dull the surface down!
