Yamazaki is a street thug & brawler from the King Of Fighters & Fatal Fury games. He likes to fight dirty, taunt his opponents, bring a knife to a fist fight, and burst into crazed laughter. He keeps his right hand in his pocket as someone he respects once told him it was strong. Basically, Yamazaki is one of SNK's most memorable psycho villain characters and I wanted to make an action figure of him!

RECIPE:

- For the body, I sculpted neck, pecs, traps, lats, and triceps onto an old Spiderman rotocast torso. Arms are DC Deluxe, legs are DID extended with apoxie.

- He has 2 heads: One cocky jerkface, one tongue-out crazy man. Both use the same recast UFC head as a base. I sculpted new hair and combined the nose & mouth from a different head using apoxie sculpt. I also made 2 tongues for the crazy head: One regular and one disgusting Gene Simmons super long style.

- The shirt & gloves are handmade. For the gloves, I used apoxie to seamlessly combine hard plastic hands with & soft fabric wrists for the best of both worlds.

NOTES:

I wanted this figure to respect its old school gaming roots by looking stylized & cartoony, but at the same still look detailed like a modern figure should. It took a lot of tries to get the right balance and I'm still not sure if I nailed it. Oh well, good thing SNK & Capcom have so many classic characters I can practice on... :)
