I wanted a definitive shredder for my collection for many many years. Honestly I thought NECA was going to deliver, but in my eyes they failed. To me its all about a couple of things: + Articulation (pose-ability) + Aesthetics (no kid figure looks plz, I'm a grown-up now) + Scale (I collect mostly SHF, Figma & Revoltech, so...therefore the base figure selection) Shredder was a key piece that would determine the future of my TMNT collection. It should be able to do AWESOME poses, one thing where all turtles really fail too, and come on, they are supposed to look and move like NINJAS!!! Therefore I waited for the right base, until... I found it I have been reading the IDW TMNT comics since last year, and that shredder look just got me. So I picked that one as inspiration. I tried to make my Shredder look as menacing, cruel and tyrant as he should look. The figure required: + Completely new head + New bladed forearm protectors + New bladed gauntlets + Reworked shoulder armor + Fabric-wired cape + A ton of paint work I think I got it right, and I consider this one to be the most articulated and pose-able shredder on its scale, next ones being the 1/6 scaled ones. This shredder is so cool that as you can see in some pics (tried to tell a short story) not even the Ninja Slayer could beat him. Next... the shredder will need a gang! Critics are appreciated and encouraged. ![]() |

I think this contest had the greatest entries I've seen in a contest for a while, so it blows my mind to get such high votes. Also I have to say the top 2 figures really blowed my head when I saw them, I'm satisfied having been beat by those 2
