This is a custom I made of Dree Elle to tie in with the female characters from the vintage She-Ra Princess of Power figure line from the 80’s.
To Make Her I used a classic Orko figure as a base.
I removed Orko’s hat & sculpted over the ‘O’ on his chest using fixit sculpt. Next I placed a little pink craft gem to replace the ‘O’. In the cartoon she does not have anything on her chest but I thought this would help tie her in with the POP figures.
Once the sculpt had set I then painted her body using Humbrol enamel paints.
For her face I got an old Barbie doll & cut out her eyes & attached them over Orko’s eyes. I then sculpted around them to make them blend into Dree Elle’s face.
I then got an old Shelly doll & cut her head in half . I took the back section of her head & hair & attached it to the back of Orko’s head.
I then made her veil using pink fabric from an old Barbie dress. Again I used fabric for this instead of sculpting as I thought it would help give her a better POP look.
Finally I made her hat. To do this I covered the figure in shrink wrap & sculpted her hat onto her head using Fixit sculpt. Once it had set I took the hat off & painted it.
