Look at the before and after then you will appreciate the time it took involving a lot of research, careful sculpting, material gathering and whittling. Ezio Auditore Da Firenze is arguably the best assassin from the Assassin's Creed game series, or at least he is in my opinion the best developed with story lines in which he is tested, triumphs, suffers and grows as a person. One of his most iconic looks is the Altair Armour he wears and yet they did not make a NECA figure of it only a 'master assassin' figure where essentially its your robes dyed black and with all the armour you buy, but no weapons other than a hidden blade and throwing knives included not even the correct pouches. Therefore I spent weeks and weeks getting this custom right to do the character justice. There are so many parts to my making of that it will get muddled but as usual I just have stated what I did you can skip this haha but this is how I did it:

So the base body is the Master Assassin Ezio that I removed most of the robes of and mixed and matched robes from the Brotherhood Ebony figure and even parts from Altair's lower tunic, which makes sense seeing as it is the armour of Alatair so it should have some of the same pieces. The basic parts are there in the figure so most of it was sculpting over and removing parts to put back later. The most difficult part was removing the armour's rope that holds the leather pauldron on as this was part of the sculpt of the figure and as thin as a needle and had to be glued back on after I sculpted the armour. The armour was sculpted from scratch using Milliput in a layer by layer process starting from the lowest tier of the armour and leaving rivet holes using a small gun's thin barrel to leave the holes and sculpted with knives. For the back I had to use my usual armour method of cutting out the armour shape from a thin layer of plastic taken from a folder then scultping on top. This is also how I made the Notched Cinquedea dagger he carries, I cut out the shape of the dagger then sculpted the handle onto it, then the blade, then the blade line down the middle, sanded parts to keep it thin and sharp looking, then the secondary handle part then the guard lower part then upper part then side handles and finally the part containing it followed by sanding to smoothen, using super glue to strengthen and then painting. The Sword of Altair is from Altair but the handle as thickened. Most of the basic parts to the design are taken from different Ezio's resculpted or cut in places or repainted, then other parts are sculpted from scratch. The sleeves were a challenge and what I did there was make the black sleeve parts over the original sleeves but for the lower arms I heated the arms with hot water to remove them, decrease their size with sanding and cuttign parts off, then sculpting the lower sleeves and reattaching to the upper arm. This way the arm joints move freely and don't catch or damage the paint. One of the key changes I made to the figure was the legs and lower arms. Ezio has 2 Hidden blades so I wanted this aspect of him, but the Brotherhood figure's have far supperior sculpts in their hidden blades and work so much better than the AC 2 figures, so I used heat to pop off the gauntlets or lower part of the lower arms. Then taking two lower arms from a brotehrhood Ebony Ezio I removed his lower arms with ease and after some work to them I attached them to the AC 2 base figures arms. To keep the design of the AC 2 gauntlets I used heat to remove the metal gauntlet on the right arm and sanded it down and attached it simply, but the left arm required a bit more cutting sanding work to glue over the new Brothehood arm. Once done I used the frilly sleeve from the AC2 figure as it was more detailed than the Brotherhood ones. An advantage of this change is not just that the hidden blades are supperior but now he has intechangable hands like the newer figures and more importantly can actually hold a weapon. As the quick grab hand in AC2 is metal and not decorative liek the Ebony figures one, I removed the metal part on the hand above the knuckles on the AC 2 hand and the pattern on the AC Brotherhood hand and so now I have a entirely metal design gripping hand as in the game. I also took the old open hand and gave it to my basic Ezio white robed figure and sculpted the part I removed then painted and bent the hand so he too can hold a sword. The pouches are from a brotherhood figure as those are the largest pouches and he should have them. Now one of the biggest issues that the AC 2 figures have are the leg articulation or almost lack of. The special boots he has at the end which are the same on the Altair Armour are sculpted over the single leg joint so... it sucks for posing. Therefore I took a Brotherhood figure, used heat to pop the leg joints out and swapped with the AC 2 legs and then removed the boots and shortened the legs and boots in places so he would stay the same height as he was and now he has double jointed knees swivel upper legs ona ball joint and ball joint ancles. I would prefer pivot rocker action as Glenn Webb was right it is the best for posing, but still managed to get it to pose a lot and yeah looks great compared to the stiff original. The pistol is a Metal Gear Solid figures revolver, one I used for my 1989 Joker custom pistol and this one I jsut used the hammer the barrel and another piece for a secondary hammer. The Eagle head hande trigger part is actually from King Theoden's sword's horse head motif so I cut that off and reshaped and painted and now it looks like an eagle. I wasn't inisially going to do the pistol but I felt without it he jsut would be incomplete and I am glad he has it now. His weapon sheath belt is from AC Ebony Ezio also. I believe that is everything it took WEEKS AND WEEKS to make and way longer than I though haha, the head als had some work done as the necks on AC 2 figures were a bit long so I shortened the joint holding the head and also I literally gave AC Brotherhood Ezio a close shave and gave the left over beard to my custom leaving the scar line in his beard. Obviouslly I did A LOT OF PAINTING also, nice change to paint yellow's black and Gold's than JUST SILVER all over.

I am super happy with this custom he took so long and has all the tool and weapons he uses, I realise the Apple bag isn't there perhaps I will make the bag later but I don't like the look so it will be removable if I do and I don't feel the need to have it yet. I have provided my usualy pictures of him using his tools/ things he does in the game in combat, a comparison shot of the original figure and my new improved one or 'Ultimate AC 2 figure' as I see it. Please feel free to leave a comment I have so much I am working on at the moment and so many projects that are taking years to finish so this one was a quick personal project that took weeks. If you read all that thanks hahaha

Outstanding job on upgrading Ezio in his Altair outfit! Ezio's story is the most interesting of all the assassins.

Thanks, yeah I agree. At first liked Altair's the most but Ezio I feel is the only super relatable one who really grows from a naive young reckless boy to one of hte most reveered assasin's takes on the Borgia's and becomes a battle hardened mentor by the end.
