I love how articulate the new Sunfire and Spidey 2099 mold are, and one of the first characters that came to mind was Nightcrawler. The Toybiz version was so awesome, so I needed a really nice mold to compare and finally one came out. It's a bit buff for Nightcrawler at first, but after switching out some parts and lengthening some limbs, it ended up fitting his physique pretty nicely. Besides, Sunfire and Nightcrawler are almost the same height and weight as well. Anyway, I switched out the forearms for the newest Electro, and kitbashed some movie Nightcrawler hands, feet, and tail. I had to shave down the feet to make them fit modern articulation, then drilled holes in to the wrists of the movie nightcralwer hands and inserted platic Sucker sticks to connect to the forearms. The tail I drilled a hole in between his cheeks and inserted the wire from the tail and glued and sculpted for support. I sculpted the shoulderpads with Green Stuff, then I resculpted a DC Icons Black Adam head for the calm head and SOTA Adon for the crazy smiley head. I made him a BAMF effect from a Storm base and some lettering cut from an Apoxie container. The sword is a cutlass from casting cave. He can hit a really nice crouching pose with those shoulder discs and a nice range in the ab crunch. Finished him of This was has gone to the Giusti collection of X-men!
