This is a 10” custom figure I was asked to make of the character called Number One from the Star Trek pilot episode titled ‘The Cage’

To make her I used the 10” Nurse Christine Chapel figure by Playmetes as a base.

This was an obvious choice of base figure as Nurse Chapel & Number One were both played by the same actress ‘Majel Barrett’. This meant I did not need to do any sculpting to her face.

To start I cropped off most of her old hair with a sharp craft knife then re-sculpted her new hair using a product called ‘fixit sculpt’.
Once the sculpt had set I then painted her hair dark brown using Hunbrol enamel paints.

Her uniform came from the 10” Captain Christopher Pike figure by Playmetes.
I had to alter the size of the trousers & top to make them fit Number One & I also made her a new collar using the pieces of fabric I had trimmed off the back of her uniform.
