Come Rick… She is still alive….You need me….Together we can save her…You have to go back… to THE SPLATTERHOUSE. This is not Jason from Friday the 13th even though it looks like him. Friday the 13th influenced this video game so that's why the look similar. Splatterhouse was made in 1988 by Namco for the arcades. It was ported to the TG-16 in 1990(though heavily edited) and it spawned two sequels for the Genesis 1992-93 (mega drive). It was the game that invented the survival horror genre and it was also very graphic and violent. For example, when you punch a zombie its top half falls off and a geyser of green blood erupts up. In the game you can pick up weapons such as 2x4's, lead pipes, bones, shotguns and the golden cleaver. Over all it’s a fantastic game! This Rick Taylor is the game's main character. He has lost his girlfriend to these monsters in this haunted house. The mask he wears is called the "terror mask" which gives him supernatural strength to fight through the house to save his girl friend.
