Hi, Guys ! Tolkien’s acts offer extensive and partial complete lines of ancestors, many times with even a more or less detailed backstory of each protagonist....BUT...of all things, the family-tree of Legolas, the most popular elf, has remarkable gaps. Neither the name of his grandmother, nor his mother‘s name, or any other informations about both, are known. Even the writers, of the „The hobbit“-movies added the mystery, about his mother, to the script, to give Thranduil’s willingness, to fight a war, for white gems, a rational explanation. For various reasons I assume, that she was not a silvan elf. Maybe a sindar, he had already met during his stay in Lindon, before they‘ve settled together in greenwood, the great/mirkwood.? You might remember the scene, where Legolas told Tauriel, that there had been a war between his people and Angmar and that his mother died, in Gundabad... There’s nothing in the books about that war, but I like the idea, that Legolas‘ mom was a skilled warrior and not just a harp-playing dolly-bird. ;-) Regarding THOSE skills her son had and that she was married to the best sword fighter ever...it kinda makes more sense, that she knew how to fillet orcs...in an gravity defying way. ;-) So here’s my interpretation of the the queen of greenwood, the great/mirkwood, wife of Thranduil; mother of Legolas.“ Recipe: This is a merge of four WWE-Figures. No clue which one. Dremeled down the heavy biker boots; Extended the upper body, of the first, a little bit; added the left hand of the second; connected it with the lower body/legs of the third figure (hip rotation is still working) and added the head of the fourth figure to it. Hair is from Arwen, repainted. The left ear, too. (The right one is a one-piece, with the hair) Brades of Vaako. The silver dress is a broad ribbon, cut in shape; molten the ends with a lighter. Green textile-leaves underneath it and for the sleeves and underneath the hip-armor, which are real brass-leaves...bent in shape. Again, lot‘s of real metal parts on this figure : The braided plate on the waist, is a pedant, attached by a wrapped around, slim ribbon. The leave-shaped chest-armor is from a brooch (fake leather underneath, to get a better bond-joint to the ribbon) The „loin-guard“ is real metal, too. It can move freely... Shoulder armor is made of fake leather and real metal leaves on top. Forearm-Guards made of fake leather with real metal leaves (bent to fit) on top. Shin-guards made of plastic and segments of Gandalf‘s staff (sanded down flipsides) Coat from Boromir; repainted Crown : real metal finger-ring, with added golden wire and a silver metal-leaf on the back. Shield : covered a base of plastic evenly with green stuff-sculpy and embedded two bookmarks (real metal) into it. Removed the base and covered the flipside with fake-leather. Added the straps and trimming with a gold sharpy. The sword is a real metal- keychain. Filed it‘s blade and handle; sculpted the pommel. Citadel colours : IMPERIAL PRIMER KISLEV FLESH ELDAR FLESH FLAYED ONE FLESH PALLID WYCH FLESH BURGMANS GLOW MEPHISTO RED RHINOX HIDE DRYAD BARK YRIEL YELLOW KANTOR BLUE WAAAGH ! FLESH LIBERATOR GOLD ATHONIAN CAMOSHADE STEEL LEGION DRAB DEATH WORLD FOREST CASTELLAN GREEN Chrome silver and gold sharpy Hope you like it ! Suggestions for her name are welcome ! Regards ! ![]() |

WOW !?! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the comment full of praise ! Too kind !
I really, really appreciate it !
All the best !
Take care !
Couldn’t see the wood for the trees !
Most spontaneous figure, with the most surprising outcome and reactions.
The face of the base-head was bashed up really bad, from it’s former wrestling-career. Deep scratches, rubbed off paint (nose/cheeks/chin) and hard glue remains. But I liked the eyes that much, that I wanted to give it a try.
Never did anything like that before. Luckily...Liquid green stuff; extremely smoth files from a nail-polish-set and four layers of strongly thinned color gave her back the even and flawless countenance of a queen.
Thanks again !
Thank you very much !
Yeah, you guys thought, that this german dude can do orcs only, right.?
She’s my first female figure and I‘m still a little surprised how she happened to be and how handsome she is. I‘m a little bit enchanted by her aura.
It was one of those customs, which wasn’t planed at all, started spontaneously and without knowing how it’ll turn out, but it all came together so surprisingly well, that it was completed very fast and much better than expected. Regards !
Thanks a lot, Edgy !
