I used a Warg from Toy Biz. I removed the face and cut the upper head off. I kept the snout and glued the tongue down. I elongated the snout by stretching it. I removed the saddle and the hair off the back and cut it into sections and then rearranged it to give it a cascading look. Then I sculpted the rest!
This Warg is absolute perfection. You totally nailed the face likeness, which I didn't think was totally necessary or possible given that it was a fantasy wolf creature. Somehow, you did it. I actually went and bought that rampage figure this weekend for the very reason you mentioned above. I'll turn it into Azog's Warg for sure. Great, great work on this White Warg!!!!
Congrats and Kudos to you for creating this particular figure ! The „matriarch“ is way more difficult, than it might seems, at the first sight. I was planing on making one myself too (I guess a lot did/do) and just like Deaditor, I thought, the doctor who-werewolf would be the perfect base-head.... NOPE. To enlarge it, by using „Hydrospan“, would work, but that stuff‘s so expensive...
So I have a great tip for anyone who wants to build a Whitem Warg. After spending hours scupting this figure, I went to Walmart and saw that there is a great Wolf figure for the movie Rampage.... broke my little heart ha ha but still a great base figure.
Yeah that’s always awful when you find something that could have saved you work but then you can appreciate the work you out into yours. When I did my white Warg I originally tried to use that doctor who wear wild but it was too small. Also tried making Beorns bear form out of it but it’s too small. So lots of work wasted there for me lol. But yeah I’m sure yours is way better than just using another figure because you made it making it unique and probably way more accurate than just buying the Wolf.
