This one took quite some time, taking a Marvel Legends Wasp figure and turning her into everyone's favorite half genie hero is a pretty involved process. Some details like the pant cuffs and tube top are basic enough, but Shantae's anime style face doesn't look anything like the more realistic likenesses of a standard figure. So I used a technique I haven't tried since I made Ruto back in the day. Using my Dark Magician girl figure's face I cast a mold which I used to make a copy that was coffee colored skin tone away from being Shantae. The hair is made out of 7 pipe cleaners tied together, I needed something lightweight and poseable since it's nearly as long as the figure is tall and you'd want to move it around when you pose her. Specifically she is based on the look she had in Shantae and the Pirate's curse, the 3rd game in the series, that's why she has a vest made from a black rubber patch and a cute skull bandanna.
