I don’t normally get asked to make many Barbie customs but I found this Shelly doll in my parts drawer & decided to make a custom Shelly, based on the 'Tropical' Barbie line of dolls which were released back in 1985.

There was never a Shelly released as part of this line so I thought she could be a great addition for any Barbie fan’s collection.

Her outfit is made from fabric taken from an old Tropical Ken doll’s outfit & is completely hand stitched. Her yellow accessory can be worn in lots of different ways (similar to the other dolls in the vintage Tropical line)
