I loved the Shuri character in the Black Panther movie, big shame she hasn’t been turned into a Marvel Legend figure (yet). So I thought I’d give it a go myself (this is my 3rd ever custom figure). I looked up several MCU Shuri customs online for inspiration, but almost all of them weren’t movie accurate enough to me. So that was to be my goal! The colours in the pictures are a bit more saturated than in real life..a pity because in real life they are already slighty too intense for my taste. I opted to not try and replicate the exact patterns of the sand and blue on the outfit, but to follow the lines of the used torso and legs a bit more. All in all I’m quite pleased with the results! The recipe:

Head: Marvel Black Panther basic Shuri figure, with sculpted braid knot. The braid hanging loose is a modded braid from the Marvel Universe Valkyrie figure. Repainted the eyebrows to give her a bit more of a firm look, and painted the two little teeth near her chin white
Torso: ML Okoye, with the skirt piece removed. The breastplate I dremeled off the basic Shuri figure, and painted it (was only black and brown)
Upper arms: ML Scarlet Witch (comic version), with sculpted bracelets
Lower arms: basic Shuri figure
Legs: most customs use the Okoye legs, but Shuri in the movie is quite a slender girl. I thought the legs of the ML Nebula figure are more fitting; they also have a futuristic appearance and are a bit thinner. Courtesy of Flickr user Iowanbing
Skirt piece: basic Shuri figure, modified to make it a bit more fitting. Buckle and buttons painted silver
Weapons: basic Shuri figure, dry-brushed with silver to give them a more realistic, metal-looking appearance
