When I put all my Joes out again last year I was kind of surprised I didn't own a modern version of Monkey Wrench. I mean, they had a Dreadnoks 7-pack, and multiple versions of all the other members, so what was up? Well, looking into it the only modern version Hasbro put out was a cheap looking two pack version using Outback's head that looked a lot more like Chuck Norris than arachnophobic Dreadnok.


Pretty simple formula. I used the same 25th Anniversary Gung Ho that Hasbro used, but I sanded off all the pockets on his vest, as well as the thing on his left leg. Problem there was that thing was what the screw was connected to keep the leg together so I had to glue it in place and cover it with some sculpt. His lower arms came from 50th Anniversary Zartan. The leg bandanas were purchased from Marauder Task Force, while the head was a cast I purchased from Vortius Customs. It originally had a bandana on the cast but I carefully dremeled it off. I'm pretty happy with the results. Finally, the bandolier is slightly modified version that came with a 25th Snake Eyes.

And now my Dreadnoks are one more step closer to completeion. Still have to make a Heartwrencher though, no way in DiC am I paying the prices she sells for.
