This is a Megaman figure I simply repainted into his colors for the Mega Ball power from Megaman 8. But I have a question to pose to all my fellow toy customizers, what is the deal with purple? This is Folk Art Multi-surface 2977, simply called "purple," and it is THE WORST color I have ever worked with. What you are seeing is the result of me using primer, a white coat, thinning the paint, thickening the paint, using 5 layers, basically every trick I would possibly think of and this is THE BEST I could come up with, and it still looks streaky and messed up. The brand of paint isn't bad because I've used many other folk art colors (including the light blue parts of this very figure) and it's worked fine, plus purple paints from other brands have given me problems too. Is there some trick to making purple look good?
