I present to you my first ever full custom: Marvel's A-bomb!

I started working on this when I first started out, way back in April 2017, with no background or experience with sculpting, painting or anything related to customizing, after deciding to try it out one day. I wanted challenged myself with what I thought would be the toughest character to translate into action figure form.
After hundreds of hours worth of sculpting and resculpting, I finally managed to finish it last April 2018.
I came out of this project with literal scars and more knowledge and experience than I ever expected.

The base of this fig is a 1:18 scale Marvel's Korg that I basically tore down and built back up with the following mods:

-Original headsculpt
-Modified the crappy neck articulation into a ball-hinge articulated neck (used an old ML ankle joint for this)
-Fully sculpted hands and feet
-Added a hinge articulation on the wrist
-Extended the lower torso, upper arms, forearms, thighs and legs
-Toe articulation
-Converted the swivel-hinge ankle articulation to hinged ankle rockers
-And loads of sculptwork covering everything from head to toe

This custom took me a whole year to finish but I am happy with the results 😀

I used Aves Apoxie for all the sculptwork and painted him up with Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics.
