Hey, what’s up, guys ?! It‘s been quite a while... Of course, Azog‘s white warg was on MY must-have-list too, but I couldn’t find a suitable base-figure for many years. Transforming a Toybiz-warg, into the matriarch, was not an option for me. So with time...I’ve warped this project, once and for all. But...never say „never!“... Last year, I’ve found the brand new released rampage/subject ralph-figure and suddenly, this project seemed to be a practicable scheme, again. I did not know it’s exact size, but I gave it a try, ordered it and luckily it’s scale is perfect. That’s why I was willing, to spend the 45 bucks for it. At first I thought : „That’s gonna be a quick one / only a few adjustments necessary“, but during the process, this custom became more and more elaborated. First, I‘ve shortened the upper-and lower- front-legs (2x5mm each. For more stability I‘ve fixated three 1“-nails inside of each (hollow) upper leg, (with hot glue); drilled holes in the legs (same diameter as the nails, to get a plug-and-socket-, instead of just an adhesive connection. Same method at the lower legs, but with only one nail. Cut off the small horns, ears; and snout section, which needed to be elongated and wedge-shaped remodeled. Repositioned the ear canals; Shortened the ears; resculpted their shape. Also removed and repositioned the eyes. Since the head still looked to slim, more like a fox, after that, I’ve cut it’s top-part and the lower jaw off completely, cut it in half and extended it’s width. Filled the missing space with light, but stiff polystyrene-plates. The upper row of teeth was still to narrow though, so I‘ve extended it‘s width a second time. My initial plan, to turn the dinosaur-like or plain skin-areas, into fur, was to cover those with sculpy and sculpt the fur-structure, but I was not keen on to do so. Not just because of the amount of time/work, but also `cause it would have bulked up the figure over and above. Instead I’ve tried to create a fur-like structure with the dremel and though it took some time...it worked decently. However...Later on I‘ve decided to add some more fur at the shoulder-area and sculpted it.
