Steel Claws 2 Custom Tutorial
No, it's not a bad sequel about a giant mechanical man-eating shark, here's another way to make those nifty steel claws for Wolverine.

So you want to know how to make custom Wolverine claws? Here's a list of the tools you'll need.

* A package of Bobby Pins (silver looks best)
* Devcon Plastic Welder 2-part epoxy
* 4 Radio Shack brand Rare Earth magnets
* Cutters, metal file, sand paper.
* Something to mix the epoxy on and an applicator
* A Wolverine figure (duur!)
* Exacto Knife
* A Dremel Minimite tool, if you want to make life easier

Well here we go! First the guidelines: Be careful! The items you will be working with are sharp, flammable, have bad fumes, and can injure you if you're not careful. The Devcon Plastic Welder stinks, and you should have a fan going or adequate ventilation. Set out a workspace, and work on cardboard or something that can be cut upon. Be careful when clipping the Bobby pins, pieces can fly out and hit your eye. Be careful when filing the claw tips, you're going to make them sharp. Don't breathe in the dust when sanding/filing the hardened Plastic Weld. Ok, with all that out of the way you're ready to begin!
Ta-dahhh! Looks nice doesn't it? I definitely suggest you practice this technique on other figures before cutting up your Wolverine figure. You can even cut the magnets in half and bury them in the PlasticWeld to make Wolverine's claws removable. That takes some work however, and I'll post that Tutorial at a later time. Best advice till then I can give you is super-glue the half-magnets down on the flat of his hand with the claws between them, cover then with epoxy, and after the epoxy is cured yank the claws STRAIGHT OUT. This leaves the magnet halves buried in there, and the claws removable. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the tutorial!
