Wouldn't a gloss black be better to make some really shiny metallics? When I was researching how to use Alclad chrome, every tutorial said to use a really good quality gloss black as your base coat.

I would like to repaint parts of Iron Monger BAF. What would be the best process for this? Would the steps posted be applicable? Iron Man figs have different material compared to ordinary ML figures. Thanks.
