Ultimate War Machine
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Scottrooper
Found this guy today. I'm not especially familiar with the Ultimate version of War Machine, but it really is a shame that they made no attempt to match the figure to the artwork displayed on the package. The figure is a complete repaint of the Annihilus wave Ultimate Iron Man, but since I missed that figure, I'm kinda ok with that. But for some reason, Hasbro decided to lower the production value. The helmet is glued on. (you can heat it up and break the glue loose) The face under the helmet is completely unpainted, cast in a semi-soft brown plastic. Paint apps aren't bad at all, there are multiple shades of silver, grey, and black applied. His shin armor is removeable easily. His hands are too big for the body and are posed in a completely rediculous and useless pose....[See More]
Iron Man (Stealth Operations Suit)
Iron Man - 2008 Movie (Hasbro) - Exclusives
Rated 4.00 stars by Scottrooper
Nice looking figure. Stealth Operations Ironman (why they didn't just call him War Machine is beyond me, the packaging comes right out and says that its' flown by James Rhodes after all) has decent shading on the silver parts of the figure, but the grey/black portions are just plain black. The sculpt itself is quite nice. The moveable cannons on his shoulders are decent and help to set this version a little apart from the others. The shoulder armor is removeable, but doesn't seem to get in the way of articulation anyway. Decent range of motion on the ankles, double jointed knees and elbows. Bicep articulation is in place, but no forearm. Swivel and hinge joints on the wrist (though the hand armor limits the ability to tilt the hand back for a nice repulsor blast type pose.)...[See More]

It doesn''t have waist articulation? So it can''t turn at all? I thought all the armors were the same though, with the upper-body being able to move around.

Yup, he has the upper torso articulation like the others, but nothing at the waist. Sorry, thought I''d mentioned the chest articulation. :-)
