Spider-Man (Black Suit)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Red Hulk Series
Rated 4.50 stars by flawpunk
For once a nicely done black suit Spidey. The articulation is somewhat pretty good on this one, not as posable as the other Spider-Man figures, but still good. He is very well balanced too, I managed to easily balance him on the rim of a coffee cup and he didn't fall. The best part, his paint. Nicely done this time. He has a more traditional look to him rather than the newer stylings, but he has a BLUE highlight effect to make him look like in the comics. The only Thing I didn't like about this figure is that his head appears to be too small for the neck. All in all this is a great figure to add to your collection. 4.5 of 5 stars...[See More]
Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series
Rated 3.50 stars by flawpunk
I got excited hearing about the new Ben Reilly Spider-Man, even though they titled him Scarlet Spider. But there are a lot of drawbacks in this figure. His articulation isn't the greatest, especially for a Spider-Man figure. he can't do any low crouches or very acrobatic poses. His head has the embossed webbing we've all come to know with the movie style figures, and his body doesn't. Yes, his body got a great and crisp paint app, but the two just don't mix well. His hands are in my opinion his worst attribute. They are really, really tiny in comparison. And one is stuck in the traditional web shooting pose. This figure gets a 3.5 of 5 due to the nice paint app....[See More]
Crossbones
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series
Rated 4.50 stars by flawpunk
Crossbones, an interesting new addition to the Marvel Legends line up. The figure stands fairly tall, roughly 7-8.5 inches. The mask detail is very sharp and clean, especially with the paint app. As for the body, it is a re-used Hulkling body with new hands, but has a nicely detailed bullet-proof vest that is removable. The guns of course are also re-used, and don't have holsters to place them. Overall this figure is nicely done. The paint app is very detailed, and the factory dry brushing/wash is cleanly done. This figure gets a 4.5 of 5 due to attention to detail and nicely re-using an old figure....[See More]
Iron Man (Heroes Reborn)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series
Rated 4.00 stars by flawpunk
When I heard of this Iron Man being released, I was extremely excited, but once I got it, a little sad. The figure is great when it comes to the sculpt. Finally a new sculpt. The detail is great, and even the articulation was fairly well done. The elbows were more of a socket type joint, which adds to the effect when setting up neat poses, and the hands were a lot larger as compared to some of the other iron man figures that had puny hands. But, there is a down side. The ankle's don't have the usual pivot joint that other ML figures have. Instead it had just the simple forward back motion. Not that big of a deal though. On another minute note, there isn't a hole for a flight stand to be inserted. And finally, the one thing that most will notice being it's true flaw..the paint scheme. the...[See More]
