Jurassic Park - Lost World (Kenner)The Thrasher rex is by far on the best toys made by the Juassic Park francise. This massive dinosaur boasts a 57cm long figure and stands roughly 12cm's from floor to stomach when placed in a neutral position.

The sculpt of this rex is no less than beautiful, highly detailed and well proportioned. They have four points of articulation, these being both legs and both arms. A rather interesting feature of the Thrasher is its namesake 'thrashing' action. By gripping the tail of this dinosaur and pulling it from left to right one can make the head 'thrash'. This attack feature was used to break out of the restraint gear provided with the toy. A point also woth mentioning is the 'Snap Jaw' action. By pulling the Thrashers top jaw open you can activate a snapping motion by pressing down on the dinosaurs tongue. Ideal for dioramas and general play.
The body of the Thrasher is also made of Liquid Latex like material, giving it a soft 'Dino Skin' feel.

While the Thrasher is a brilliant toy to play with, you can find yourself regreting any rough treatment of it. The 'Snap jaw' action leaves the mouth open to minour splits located in the corner of the jawline. The body of the rex can also be damaged by prolonged exposure to the sun by way of colours fading and dulling to a dirty brown. Small cuts can always be repaired but dampen the overall look of the toy which is a shame. To keep this figure in tip top condtion, be kind to it.
The legs of this toy are famous for becoming loose and preventing the figure from standing. Inserting eleastic bands into the joints of the dinosaur help keep this girl upright.

Overall a wonderful toy and one of such quality that we probably won't see again. A must have for any Jp or general dinosaur fan!
