Dr. N. Gin Crash Bandicoot (ReSaurus)The Dr.N.Gin figure is a truly astonishing figure, the detail is amazing as-well as the overall look of the figure. Small details really bring the character's features to life in ways the games never could. ARTICULATION: The articulation is simple on the figure, ball joints and hinges to the arms, a swivel at the wrist and a 360 degrees head pivot. DETAIL: The figure has added detail to it, detail that was not to be seen until later games such as bolts to the face and more bolts to his body. This figure looks a lot more like "The Wrath of Cortex" N.Gin, being he has a bushier eyebrow than in the ND games and the colouring to his missile and bolts. The shoulder pads, or in the figure's case, collar is also similar to that of "The Wrath of Cortex" N.Gin model. It almost looks like the figure could be made after "The Wrath of Cortex". Although the figure was made before "The Wrath of Cortex" FIGURE: The figure is quite heavy, but easy to carry. The arms and legs are very thin but seem to be able to sustain the weight of everything put on them. The hands on N.Gin look like they could fall off, but trust me they are stuck on very well. The arms are slightly bendy but the legs are very sturdy and well balanced. The missile in the top of N.Gin's head actually comes separately packaged in the box, so it's like an accessory (The missile pops into his head without trouble). Other than his missile, N.Gin does come with other accessories like; his star-sled, a nice stand for N.Gin, it keeps him looking up on display so you can see his face, if his feet are on the table or shelf his face is hard to see because of the positioning; an orange gem, good for the collection and animations; and finally his ray-gun, the ray gun, like the star-sled, weren't seen in the game but look great for the final display piece. PAINT: The paint is okay on this figure. My figure doesn't have any paint runs or anything like that (apart from a random bit of silver to the back of his head). The only problem is the paint doesn't stay very well, the paint seems to be slowly wearing off and if caught the paint can peel, like I'm experiencing on his nose. The figure costs so much, it's so frustrating! Some parts of the figure do seem to have been painted over, my figure was boxed so it wasn't the previous owner, most likely a defect that quality control had to fix. Over all this is a great figure! I love it dearly and wouldn't trade it for the world! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
