Cobra Commander (Renegades) G.I. Joe - 30th Anniversary (Hasbro)The cartoon G.I. Joe Renegades generated adverse reactions among fans of the franchise when it was released in 2010. The more cartoonish style of drawing shared opinions among collectors. Among the characters, one of the most awaited was that of the Commander Cobra. This action figure well represents the "anime" spirit of production, while keeping a foot in the "realism" that so many fans expect. The figure has several unpublished pieces that form a slender and elongated silhouette, as in the drawing. Only the legs were previously used in Red Star (v2). The face partially covered by a metallic mask presents a white, giving a sick aspect. The painting is a little pale compared to the cartoon, which appealed to some, but took some of the vivacity of the figure. The darker shade of blue that the Commander presents in the drawing would make the toy more flashy and create contrast with the white face. The figure articulates well for a character who does not require many moves and poses. The only parts that need a better articulation are the legs, restricted by the overcoat. However, the movement in the trunk is excellent. A downside is the relative restriction on accessories. Some are great, like the extra head, with the whole face covered by the metal helmet and a small gray pistol, with a retro design reminiscent of a Mauser C-96. Besides these, there is only one staff and a snake naja, both already used accompanying other figures. For those who want to set up the Renegades team or just want to have another version of the G.I. Joes archenemy in their collection, this Cobra Commander is a great addition. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
