Dracula Castlevania (Neca)I've always anticipated this action figure since I learned about its existence and now I've finally found it in local stores.. and happily owns it <<>> Le Good <<>> Excellent interpretation of Castlevania's Dracula <<>> Le Bad <<>> Designed for only one specific decent pose <><> Count Dracula is the REAL star of Castlevania in my opinion.. without him.. we never know if the developers would've settle for King Koopa instead for a final boss and I don't even want to think about that.. And it's also very fortunate that NECA got the license for the title and more fortunate it didn't follow that "8bit" series.. The Sculpt of Dracula is very well done.. atleast on the head area he looks very much like Billy Conolly on his regular day.. which is just right!! the clothings are nicely done aswell very accurate to his appearance in "Symphony of the Night" everything seems fine except the hands could've been BIGGER but I'm sure most people could tolerate that.. or let's just say, "he's got a BIG head" the right hand sculpt is also restricted to a very few poses like beckoning pose, "scratching his hips" pose or "pressing the enter key on the keyboard" pose Nothing too special with the paint application, the clothings are the usual red, white and black Dracula outfit scheme.. the eyes have dark sides just like a panda.. which is usual for a vampire character although it could've gone fine without those.. a pale face would do the hair is white.. and so is his brows, mustache and goatee which are hardly noticeable from a distance.. if it's a goodthing or not.. it's up to the eye of the beholder Dracula has very little articulation and thanks to his outfit that made it much less his legs couldn't go very far back because of his cape.. but atleast the ankles are articulated.. I doubt he could stand up without the help of his cape Dracula also comes with some nice accessories like the Bat and that ever annoying peeping eye.. only one stand is provited so you'll have to figure out yourself which one to use it.. oh and he also comes with a pocket watch.. awww they shouldn't have.. I mean, REALLY!! wish they just have a candle post instead or better yet a coffin.. (so he won't be sleeping on your couch) Dracula has an open and a close mouth variant.. I prefer the closemouth one.. 'cause the open mouth, I believe is very stereotypical vampire expression.. and yet I've never really seen Castlevania Dracula that angry all in all, this is one of the best Dracula action figures you'll ever find this makes a very good display nonetheless and despite the lack of articulation this also makes a good toy for kids or adults. -Reviewed by: Demitrios Carnovous Rausus ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
