Hello I am a new member here, I just started looking through my rather big collection of action figures and toys and discovered some interesting ones I found out is called Multimac "Galaxy Series" by Silverlit Toys, but I cannot find anything about these space vehicular toys, nor the original that their knocking off; Tomy's Scitex/Tomics - Are these not considered figures since I cannot find them here?...[See More]

That is a shame, I too am new and it had just occurred to me that this site might be useful for tracking down and checking off multimac toys.
What is the definition of action figure the site is working on, so I can better understand what not to expect to be able to find here? I've seen a few statues and gamepieces in the DC and Marvel selection and those don't really fit what I would assume to be action figures, so I suspect my assumptions about the term and the working definition for here may not be the same.

If you don't find a toy line in the Checklists we have, you can request from Captain Coder to add them and he'll try to find the info. You can find the "Contact Us" link by clicking through any of the topics in the Help section.

You could start the search for more info here maybe - http://www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/1987/treadmaster

Looking at that toy line, that's more like a construction set than action figures, so probably not going to be in the checklist here.

Hi I was wondering if I could delete a custome on here as there seems to be no option. I had a custom removed because it wasn't a finished custom but I've posted unfinished stuff in the past and updated later but I think this option of removing it would suit my position at the moment. I want a custom removed as I am so close to finishing it I might as well post it as itself or as version 2 or something which I would rather avoid. Ideally I would like this custom to be not jsut a second version or an unpdate because no one will see it and quite frankly this one has been massively changed in my own view. Any help would be great thanks realm!...[See More]

Workinprogress isnt allowed in the showcase, it's for finished work only.

Generally:

If you're only slightly modifying an old custom, just update the pictures and description. ...
Rules about links to other sites in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by MoonKnight1

   [Edit]
What are the rules concerning links to other sites? I'm asking because I have created a couple of stories using G.I. Joe figures and they are posted on another site. Would love to share them here if allowed.

Thanks!

Thanks Dr. Nightmare! I have seen the Comics section here, it is awesome and right up my alley! I have already posted something there and will definitely do more. You Customizers are amazingly talented and I can't compete with that but I do like to write a good story and I have tons of action figures so I'm sure you will see some contributions from me!

I don't mind links, especially if you already have a neat setup somewhere else. We do have a Comics section here on the site though http://www.figurerealm.com/comicstrip

Broken account in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by obliterator999
Thursday, November 3, 2016
   [Edit]
Hey there guys,

This is something I mailed the site's admins about but am yet to get any response so posting here in hope of reaching someone. My account appears to be completely broken. I can login and post in the forums just fine, but that's the extent of it. There is no option for me to edit my profil, my account info are not displayed even if I fill out everything, it still asks me to validate my email even though I've done so a dozen times already and I cannot post new customs (I get an error message saying I posted too many for a certain period of time, but never actually submitted any).

This is an account I created years ago when the site was entirely different, so maybe that explains the odd things going on... Help!...[See More]

Regarding custom contest ideas in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by Henchmen4Hire
Tuesday, October 4, 2016
   [Edit]
We've been cleaning up the contest ideas and i figured i'd make a discussion of this. I'm interested to know what themes y'all are into so we have a better idea of what to keep or axe, so chatter away.

Question: Do you like contests that require specific base figures?

For example, there was one that requires a NECA movie Batman, and that turns me off because I can't spare the 30 bucks to buy that fig to participate.

There was one that required funko pop figures, and while I'm not a fan of the style, I wouldn't mind giving that contest a try because the blank pops are sort of cheap. Would you enter it?

Question: How do you like specific themes?

There are some contest ideas like "indie video games" or "what if your grandma dressed like ...[See More]

If I had the figure and if I wanted to customize it and if I had an idea, then I'd enter the contest. But that's a lot of "ifs". I imagine the number of people who would meet all of those criteria would be quite low!

While I haven't entered any contests, due to my customization skills still needing to be developed more, I kinda think anything that's TOO specific, like the "NECA movie Batman base" or the "granny Colossus" (now a tranny Colossus contest is a bit more open ended and could result in some, uh, "interesting" entries I'd imagine, lol!) could easily be culled. The Funko Pop idea is fine since it's using the general toy line, and I wouldn't see any problems with a contest which stipulated a NECA figure as a base rather than a certain one.

Along those lines, I've been editing the contest ideas so they're more general like you say.

Also, Tranny-saurus Colossus Rex contest is incoming lol

I just wanted to say, whenever (or if ever) Fight Club contest is activated, I will rain down on it with entries. Rain down. I have a feeling a few other prolific customizers on here would hit it hard, too. Just saying. ...[See More]

Featured Customs - How are those determined/chosen? in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by TheLastSuperman
Tuesday, September 13, 2016
   [Edit]
Hey hey all, I was curious as to how the featured customs are listed? Are those chosen by staff of the site or voted on like the contests? I've never seen any vote type option for featured and honestly not trying to sound off base here but some recent customs have been outstanding lately (ohh lawd no, I don't mean any of mine lofl) yet not even listed in featured despite blowing away what was currently up in the featured list - although that I suspect is a matter of opinion respectively .

I was just wondering and thought to ask so when you have time to spare and can answer, I'd appreciate it!

Ahh thanks for the link . What do you gentlemen think of a split "Featured" ?

For example a 2 Row setup where top row of featured is reserved for those who pay, bottom row is member voted of the week (that is if, you believe there would be enough people voting because if not would defeat the purpose per say). Or even a color coded Featured where those with a red 2/3/4px border are featured based on member level then another color border for member voted featured etc etc

Just an idea and it would bring more interaction imho (but again only if those who see the site stats and login counts think it would even work).

I think between the Featured, Most Talked About, Blast From the Past, and Figure Inque sections we have enough ways to spotlight people's work without making the Customs page too cluttered.

I don't know how a new "User Voted Featured" section would be different from the Most Talked About section anyway, since that's essentially what it is, with people voting with their comments (which I much prefer over anonymous/arbitrary votes/numbers)

I think you have the option to have your customs appear in the Featured section for a few days if you pay for one of the contribution packages here - http://www.figurerealm.com/customdonate

Here's the FAQ page - http://www.figurerealm.com/help#2-52

By comparison, the customs featured in the Figure Inques are all picked by me, though I'm fine with other realmers making suggestions and contributing (provided they submit a decent write-up).
Disclaimer in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by tommyx

Hi guys,
I was just reading the "Disclaimer" on the custom figure page:
"The figures contained in the Custom Showcase are not for sale by Figure Realm, and the creators of the customs are no way affiliated with Figure Realm. The Custom Showcase is purely for entertainment purposes and only provides a means for the creators to show off their work and trade ideas. Figure Realm does not make or sell customs."
Not to be a grammar Nazi or anything, but I think it would be better to say "...are IN no way affliliated with..."
Then that got me thinking. What does it mean that custom creators are not 'affiliated' with Figure Realm? I'd say that, by definition, we the creators are 'affiliated' with this website by our very contributions, and of co...[See More]
